ABOUT THE ZERO LUX

The Zero Lux is an independent investigative publication reporting at the intersection of modern conflict, unmanned systems, and emerging threat monitoring technologies. We track and document how tools once exclusive to military domains—drones, behavioral algorithms, propaganda systems, and dual-use AI—are being deployed across borders, platforms, and ideologies.

Founded in 2025 by award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker Sean Campbell, The Zero Lux exists to investigate what others won’t—or can’t. From narco-drones in Michoacán to Chinese behavioral profiling through global video games, our reporting goes where traditional outlets hesitate: toward the convergence of physical violence and digital manipulation.

We don’t chase trends. We chase truth.

THE FOUNDER

Sean began his career as a documentary videographer in the Middle East, covering conflict zones and civil unrest before transitioning into hard news and longform investigations. His work has been featured on CNN, BBC, FOX, HBO’s Stopping the Steal, and MSNBC. He later served as a photojournalist at KETV-7 in Omaha, where his coverage spanned politics, severe weather, protests, and law enforcement.

Today, Sean’s reporting focuses on how drones, asymmetric tactics, and integrated threat monitoring systems are transforming global power structures—from cartel-controlled territories and Eastern European battlefields to the technology corridors of Silicon Valley and Shenzhen.

He founded The Zero Lux with a mission to document modern warfare’s gray zones—where national security, corporate influence, and authoritarian models of control quietly converge.

COVERAGE

Our reporting follows a strict code of ethical journalism: no speculation, no planted leaks, no PR fluff. We rely on verifiable sources, open-source intelligence, fieldwork, and technical analysis. Current investigations explore:

The rise of suicide drones and FPV tactics among cartels and proxy forces

How behavioral AI and gaming platforms are used for surveillance and influence

Cross-border tech transfers and illicit dual-use supply chains

Civil-military fusion and the export of CCP-aligned systems

The breakdown of public trust in crisis coordination and airspace safety

We expose stories designed to stay hidden—at the intersection of war, information, and innovation.

THEZL PHILOSOPHY

No bullet points. No boilerplate. No luxury of darkness.

The name The Zero Lux refers to total darkness—the conditions under which many modern threats are born and deployed. We aim to restore light where it's been strategically removed, using investigative rigor, visual storytelling, and original documentation.

If the conflict is digital, kinetic, or cognitive—we report it.We are independently owned. Reader-funded. Relentlessly adversarial.

We see in total darkness.
